Job Title : Home Study Licensing Supervisor (SSS5) NON-PERMANENT
Location : Kent, WA Flexible / Hybrid / This position is full-time / non-permanent with an expected duration of 12 months from the date of hire.

Salary : $6,046- $8,133 Monthly
This job is for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career where they get to function primarily as the first line supervisor of a unit of Social Service Specialist 3s who serve as licensors for state licensed foster homes as well as provides professional level licensing services to licensed foster home providers and provide professional level licensing and home study assessments to kinship and / or adoptive families.

The Opportunity :
Utilizes cultural competency to understand, communicate with, and effectively interact with clients, subordinate staff and other individuals across cultures, focusing on understanding and respecting the strengths of the clients including their heritage, cultural beliefs and values, communication and learning styles.
Some of what you'll do :
Prioritize and assign work to a unit of licensing staff- Demonstrate, monitor, teach and mentor Social Service Specialists with : Developing partnerships with families.
Focusing on practical everyday life tasks. Promoting specific skills tied to the family’s tasks as identified, and how and what additional actions to take when needed to meet the needs of child safety, permanency and well-being.
Comply with the Collective Bargaining Agreement as it relates to subordinate staff in the bargaining unit.
Provide case consultation and review of home study assessments completed for relative placement and / or adoptive and / or foster home licensing and reassessments based on compliance with the Revised Code of Washington and Washington Administration Code.
Approve families for licensure. Approve home study assessments. Provide quality assurance for health and safety monitoring, compliance agreements, stop placement actions, denials, suspensions and revocation of licenses and disqualification of background checks.
Have knowledge of the background check process including clearances, administrative approvals, waivers, and disqualifications.
Able to assist Licensors in these functions by providing training and technical assistance. Collaborate with the community, including the provider community, law enforcement, medical personnel and families of children in out-of-home care
Required Qualifications :
NOTE : A two-year master's degree in one of the above fields that included a practicum may be substituted for one year of paid social service experience.
